Selena Gomez - an international actress and performer - is a household name. One of the shows she has participated in and has enjoyed the most success has been the Disney series Wizards of Waverly Place. Selena Marie Gomez is her full name. Selena Marie Gomez was born in Grand Prairie, Texas on July 22nd in 1992. Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez were her parents. Selena's mom was 16 an old when her birth. At the age of 9 Selena made her debut in the world of showbiz as she portrayed Gianna in Barney and her Friends. Through this, she joined the ranks of children who have enjoyed the chance to get involved with the anthromorphic dinosaur which has grown to become famous in the history.
